I googled it, and I still have no idea what a contact room is. Medical labs have bought these for years and have no problem with the packaging.
This mask is not individually wrapped, and NEITHER are the 3M's of this shape. The only 3M individually wrapped are the ones that fold flat. The 8511's and the other "bowl" shaped 3M masks ship just like these, with no wrapper.
The 3M 9211 and this mask are both good. This mask fits nicely over the nose, instead of having a bendable wire. This mask is sturdier than the 3M masks, because of an extra layer, made of fabric mesh, on the outside.
This mask is a bit hotter to wear in summer, because it's thicker.
A good mask, and the toughest and longest lasting.

I really prefer the nice molded shape over the nose, rather than bendable wire. The wire loosens itself, so you're constantly messing with it. This is a heavy, sturdy mask, MUCH longer lasting than the 3M 8511.
The extra layer of mesh really adds to the life of the mask.
They aren't the color in this photo, they are pale blue.

Mask seems to be good at stoppinmg dust etc but the straps when they break and they will rendewr respirater useless.I bought a box of ten and am through half of them in a week and all five that broke strap snapped.
Ok if your really really delicate with it than it wont break but pull even a bit much and it snaps.A rubber band you can pull far harder than these straps
Another useless,flawed product.

What I like most is that with the valve, my glasses don't fog up. I use then when I use the blower. I also reuse them, by putting them in a zip lock bag.

I sanded drywall for 5 hours with electric 1/4 sander. Fairly large area. Dinningroom walls and ceiling plus hall way and stairway. I use the same mask for all. NO DUST IN MY MOUTH. Great product.
