I was not expecting this shark to be as big as it. It looks just like the picture. The materials are soft and good quality, as is most always with melissa and doug products. The mouth is a little creepy to me but my son loves sharks so this it's big red mouth is very cool to him.

I bought this shark for my daughter for her 3rd birthday despite the negative review because she specifically requested a shark for her birthday and because I generally find Melissa & Doug toys to be of good quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well-made toy that my daughter adores!

My 5-year-old son treats his life-size shark as a friend. He even buckles him in the car and pretends to feed him! The only thing that concerns me is how I will clean the white plush when it gets dirty. Otherwise, this shark is durable and probably the best toy I ever bought my son!

I'm an 18yo college student, and I bought this shark because I wanted both a new pillow and something to cuddle. This fulfills both. It's very firmly stuffed, which makes it a comfy pillow as well as a fantastic thing to hug. Also, it is more than likely bigger than you think it's going to be. I was expecting big, but when I opened the box and I got something as long as my entire torso, I was floored (in a good way.) Very durable, very reasonably priced, and its fabric skin is very soft and cuddly. Yay!

This shark is big and sturdy. I thought it would be very soft and fluffy and easily squished, but it's not; its stuffing is firmer than I was expecting for a stuffed animal, which I actually like better because it seems more durable that way. My only complaint is that the eyes come off easily. Nothing a little super glue can't fix, but I wish they'd have come fastened securely so I wouldn't have to go out and buy super glue. All in all, my son loves this shark and sleeps with it every night.
