Confusing Apr 26, 2007
By Aijulam I bought both numbers and letters, the idea it is great the problem for me was that when you put for example the number 18 said 19 or if you put the number 8 said 7, I do not want my daughter get confused when she hears one thing for another so I returned them both, need improvement with the sensors.

Sounds do not work properly Dec 28, 2007

I bought this puzzle for my young granddaughter for this Christmas. While I was with her, no amount of battery changes or other parental work would make the sound work. However, a few days later, the puzzle did begin to sound out the number that was placed into the puzzle. The next night, however, my daughter and her husband were awakened by the puzzle repeating the number "19" over and over. Clearly this product is defective. I have bought two other Melissa and Doug sound puzzles (alphabets and shapes) and would return them but for the trouble of it all. However, the baby's parents will not be inserting any batteries, and so the sound feature which I paid for will be for naught. I do not therefore recommend this product, cute as it appears.

Awesome Sep 22, 2010
By Rayzer My son is a very visual learner (2yrs old) so we started off with the Melissa and Doug Alphabet Sound Puzzle and within a couple of weeks he knew his Alphabet by heart. He points out letters to us everywhere we go now. Since the alphabet puzzle worked so well we decided to get the number puzzle. The numbers are a little more tricky for him to pick up but pretty much it still had to same effect. He was able to tell us most of the numbers himself within the first couple of weeks. The visual and sound learning was perfect for him. We love to set on the floor and do the puzzles over and over again and he enjoys knowing what each number is and where it goes. We are very happy with these products and will continue to purchase Melissa and Doug products in the future.

I purchased this for my 2 year old. He has Down Syndrome and he plays with his toys HARD. This product holds up to his test. The other good thing is that his older brothers age 5 and 7 love working with Landon my youngest and teaching him with this product. This product realllllyyyy makes Landon's brother's feel like BIG brothers by helping and knowing they too can help with the progress of ther little brothers learning issues by using this product.Thank you for having such a quality product to share with us and all who purchase it.Paul CrewsWest Sacramento, Ca

happy with it Jan 22, 2011
By rijah27 I bought this after noticing my 3.5 year old son skipping the number fourteen when counting to 20. Using it to review numbers has been great. I was a little concerned if it would work well after reading some of the other reviews, but we are happy with it.
