These are probably my daughters favorite toys right now. She carries the magnets all around the house and has figured out how to put them back on the fridge (or anything magnetic). Unfortunately she is still in the "chew everything" stage, so the paper stickers are not holding up as well as they would if she wasn't eating them. I didn't realize that wooden magnets would have sticker pictures on them - I thought they would be painted - this is my only complaint.

My daughter is one and loves animals and magnets, but these don't hold her attention for very long. I like them for teaching her about animals and animal sounds, but she won't play with them on her own. They are also too thin for her to easily take off the refrigerator and put them back on.
I also bought the LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set, and that's much better for keeping her entertained on her own. (The pieces are chunkier and have optional sounds and music).
Overall, good images of animals but probably good for kids who are a little older.

Good but the "storage box" doesn't have a lid! Oct 03, 2007

My 15 month old really loves these magnets. However- it says that they are included in a storage box- but it doesn't have a lid! It's just a wooden box with plastic wrap over the top! I was hoping I could put them away and pull them out on rainy days... but I guess I am going to have to just leave them on the fridge. Oh well- still cute!

These magnets are very cute - bright colors and I love that the materials are non-toxic. The animal illustrations are really nice. However, I was expecting magnets made of wood. The core is wood, but the face is paper, which comes off. Disappointing. Also, the wooden box they come in has no lid, so is pretty useless for storage.

I was very excited about buying these. My son loves magnets and I thought this would be a great way to teach him about animals. They are great looking BUT I wish they were more heavy duty. They are essentially a magnetic backing with a layer of wood in the middle. On top of that is a paper picture and a thin laminated plastic layer on top. Not good for kids who like to put things in their mouths. In a matter of moments without much effort at all he had chewed off the turtles face. Now I find myself trying to keep them away from him which no fun for him or me :(
