This is my Bichon's favorite toy! The plush "Melissa & Doug Bichon Frise" is durable and well constructed. My 5 month old Bichon, Dixie, wrestles with the stuffed Bichon and drags it all over the house. I made a video to show how much fun Dixie has with this toy. I highly recommend it to other Bichon Frise dog owners. Enjoy my video!
---> For parents: The Melissa & Dogu Bichon is not as soft as other toys (e.g., Plush Trixie Bichon Frise 12") and is not cuddly. It has a metal rod in the front lets to keep it standing up. The fur is soft, but the toy has a stiffer body. I guess that's why it's holding up to my dog's abuse. If you want a soft, durable and cuddly bichon for your baby or child to enjoy, then purchase the Plush Trixie Bichon Frise 12", which I also own.

While it may appear soft, the legs and nose are not. The nose has some material underneath the fur that feels like cardboard and could easily be crushed. This makes a good decoration, but you probably wouldn't want your toddler to snuggle with it.

After visiting grandparents who have two dogs, my grandchildren went home to a dogless house and played being dogs. So I ordered this one who resembled one of our dogs for them (along with another, but that is another review).

The Dog reminds my us of our dog that passed away from cancer. My Son has named the toy Jack and it comferts him.

I have a Bichon and he loves this toy. He thinks it's a real dog and loves wrestling with it, especially when I control the other dog and play with him. A great addition if you have a Bichon
