I got one of these for each of my little girls and they both loved decorating them. They painted, glued, wrapped in ribbon.... Very creative. Now they have an extra special toy that they created themselves.

I might be buying this a couple times a year for my 3 year old daughter because she really loves it, and loved making it! Great paint, great brush, pretty colors, and in the end it's unique and one of a kind! Great gift idea too! Of course I knew she would love it before I bought it because she loves to paint.

A quick project, but a longterm toy Feb 12, 2011

The building/designing time on there DYO's are not long, they are perfect for a 6 year old's attention span and my daughter has loved building each of these we have purchased. She loves the ability to design it just the way she wants it and it is a joy to just sit back and watch her do it. The fun doesn't stop after it has been built either, it is still a princess wand and can now be used in imagination play. This means it provides creative time in the design phase as well as imagination time following that.

My grandson wanted a magic wand for his birthday, and this one turned out to be perfect: first it was a craft project (which he had fun with), then he had the wand to play with. That's my kind of toy:)
