Good for about 1 hour, but still good value Mar 10, 2010

I bought one of these little fabric shavers a few days ago to clean up some drapes and sweaters. It worked very well for about an hour total, keeping it emptied and cleaned out. Then it started slowing down even though I had emptied the smallish tray, cleaned off the blade holder, and put in new batteries. Since it had accomplished what I purchased it to do, I took the whole thing apart including motor and discovered the problem. One of the little crimped copper brushes in the motor had burned out. My recommendation is this: if you want it to last longer, only use it for 5 minutes at a time. Second, for around $5, it is totally worth it. In fact I just bought a second one for the next fabric pill that dares to show itself.

OMG Very Powerful Feb 11, 2010

Okay why did I wait so long to get one of these? I have donated so many pieces of clothing I loved because they had piled up. I just purchased one at Target put 2AA batteries in it and Wow it eats all the balled fuzz on your knits and sweaters. Love it. I defuzzed 3 sweaters and a knit top in about 2 minutes...it's fast and accurate. The lint chamber is small...the device itself is small this is all I need. Yes! Thank you self for finally getting one of these...for some reason I'm a bit skeptical when some thing seems to good to be true...I never thought it would work this good. It does. xxooxo.

Love it! Apr 22, 2010
By Andrea Coleman I love this! We have this couch that has the fuzzballs all over it. I can use it while I watch TV and I have the couch looking great in about 20mins! I pull it out every three months to do the couch. It worked well on my winter jacket too. It didn't suck batties for me.

Watch out! Will tear holes! Aug 23, 2010

I am a big fan of sweater shavers, had the same one for many years until I loaned it to a friend and she immediately broke the super fine metal piece with holes. She replaced mine with the Evercare. It immediately tore tiny round hole in a top I was working on. I assumed it was my error and this time laid the next one flat on an ironing board before de-pilling. It happened AGAIN! Being a glutton for punishment I tried it once more, going very slowly and carefully and sure enough it ruined that sweater too. I threw it away!

Works fine, eats batteries Mar 07, 2010
By A. Payton This little fabric shaver works pretty good. The downsides are that the little shavers are slower to use because the surface area is so small, and this one goes through batteries like there's no tomorrow. I will not continue to use it because I don't feel like continuously replacing the batteries. I am currently looking for a larger model with a cord.
