I bought my first Deman brush in 1972 . . . this is my second.

5Denman 9-Row Heavyweight Styling Brush  Feb 09, 2009
By Gail B. Williams
My hair is extremely thick and I've used this hairbrush for years. It is such good quality that it finally wore out after many years. Would definitely recommend this product.

5Denman hair brushes---simply the best!  Feb 16, 2008
By L. B. "Bea"
Denman brushes last for years. They are particularly useful for those with long and/or thick hair. I buy Denman brushes for home and for my styling salon sessions. Other brushes break my hair strands or are unable to brush through it; however, the heavyweight D5 Denman never fails to perform admirably.

4Great brush but I have one complaint  Dec 17, 2008
By Graham King
This brush is great as other reviewers have said but I have one problem with it. I'm a guy with relatively short hair so the nylon pins drag across my scalp. They aren't sharp but they're just uncomfortable. I have one of these brushes that must be at least 15 years old (they really do last!) and it doesn't cause this discomfort, maybe because it has worn smooth.

Anyway, I couldn't find a silicone tipped Denman anywhere on the Internet. Surprising because I swear I've seen them before.

Bottom line: great long lasting brush.

5Happy  Oct 05, 2010

I have used Denman brushes since the late 70's :) I have tried other brands, but I am done with that because, in my opinion, this is the best brush on the market for my long, curly/very wavy hair. It does not break my hair nor does it tangle my hair in the bristles. I also like that the bristles are stiff as they give a nice massage while brushing. The other aspect of this brand is that you can take the brush apart for a super thorough cleaning if need be and it lasts a LONG time so well worth the initial investment. I hope this helps anyone wondering about this brand of brush.
