Relief !!! Mar 07, 2009
By Jack Brown I've purchased 5 different products similar to the Coccyx gel seat cushion and it is the BEST. I've never given a review before, but if your shopping for this - its because you're hurting. The cheap brands under $30 don't work-for me. I weigh 220 lbs. and sit at a computer all day long as an accountant. I use the extra heavy dark blue product (not listed here) at my office and at night I sit very comfortably on this gel seat cushion - virtually every night - with pleasure. YES, THIS ONE IS WORTH THE COST!! I'm sitting on it right now and I may buy another one for my car.

The name fools you--this is a FOAM cushion, not gel Jul 20, 2009
By S. Magruder I bought this product based on its good reviews and that it appeared to be made of gel rather than foam--afterall, it is called "Gel seat cushion." I figured it would be the same gel material foudn in the jelly wrist rests for the keyboard and mouse and wouldn't compact the way foam does. I took the cover off--it is ALL FOAM in there. Thsi is a problem for me because the foam just compacts and then I end up with pressure on my tailbone. Maybe I'm just too skinny and my weight doesn't disperse right across the foam cushion so I just sink down. I still have tailbone pain using this FOAM cushion.

Not Right For My Tailbone Jul 21, 2009
By C. Bender This cushion appears well made and I thought it would work for me, but it didn't. The gel layer that provides support inside the cushion does not extend into the two 'arms" that form the U of the cutout. Without this gel those arms collapse when you sit down. This puts my tailbone right back on the surface of whatever I'm sitting on, completely defeating the purpose of this cushion. I'm only 180 pounds, too, so it's not like I was too heavy for this. My search continues.

Don't order this Jan 06, 2011

This is not what seems to be pictured. The pad inside is a cheap piece of foam that flattens out with any pressure. I sent it for return and did not get my money back.

this is NOT a gel cushion!!! its a fraud!!! Apr 01, 2010

I just received my cushion today. This is NOT a gel cushion. It is two pieces of rather cheap foam glued together. I guess that they consider the glue a "gel". I am a physical therapist and work often with people who need seating cushions. This is NOT a gel cushion. It is a rip off. This is a 2$ piece of foam in a nice wrapping. If you want something similar, go to a upholstery supply shop and get a piece of foam and cut to shape...it is the same thing.
