Braun Razor Jul 26, 2010 It works OK, have to go over my face MANY times in order for it to shave all the hairs. Never been an electric shaver kind of person, so I am not sure if that is what it is normally like.
Shaver review Jul 10, 2010 Bought this to replace an old reliable Grundig shaver that I had been using for many years. The shaver had unfortunately slipped out of my hand one evening, hit the sink hard, and broke. This Braun model is lighter and less bulky than my old one, and shaves faster and closer due to the sharper cutters. This model, however, has a hard plastic removable shield (foil protection cap) that protects the foil/cutter assembly from getting damaged. My old Grundig shaver had a built-in hard rubber wrap-around which was more convenient and easier to apply. My old shaver also had a long-hair trimmer that popped out further, had a wider surface area, and just worker better than this one. On the positive side, this model is easier and faster to clean wayward bristles from.
Braun Free Control 1775 Jun 21, 2010 I purchased this razor for my husband for Father's Day. He absolutely loves this razor. He said it shaves close and is comfortable on his skin.

Braun 1775 May 29, 2010 This review is NOT the 1775 but rather the series 1 150 model which I understand is the close replacement. The reviews that I had read was for the 1775 which seems superior to this model.
The 150 model performs okay but I was shipped it instead of the ordered 1775 without any notification even though quanties of the 1775 were listed on hand.
Wow! I'm a 5 o'clock shadow man and still love this Apr 20, 2010 I have never been able to use an electric razor because it either doesn't shave close or pulls my hairs while shaving or both. This doesn't pull at all and shaves unbelievably close. I'm giving up my shaving cream and razor, FINALLY!
This unit is thinner than most electric shavers I have tried so it fits comfortably in my hand. It gets up close under my nose and shaves close on the chin.
A couple things after reading the product description and some reviews. It does NOT work when discharged but plugged in. I read a review that said it would but when the battery is dead and you plug it in, it is still dead. At least the one I got was. But, I didn't count on that for $40+. Also, I have no idea why they say charges in 1 hour and lasts for 30 minutes. The book says 16 hours for first charge and 8 hours for each subsequent charge and will last 20 minutes. Now I don't take 20 minutes to shave so I don't know if it lasts 10 minutes or 60 minutes and I don't want to ruin the battery so I haven't tested it on just 1 hours charge but if the book says 8 hours then how can they say here that it is 1 hour.
Nevertheless, for $40+ I still rate this 5 stars.
