This product is a great idea & overall the finished item is not bad--it will work as intended. However, this is without question the MOST FRUSTRATING construction project I have ever assembled for my kids! The so-called "Assembly Instructions" are CRAP! They consist of 4 diagrams instead of explicit step-by-step guidelines, which would make much more sense for a project of this complexity. FYI, for anyone buying this carousel: the 2 curved wooden panels (part of the drawers) MUST BE slid into the slots & held into place BEFORE you insert the screws on the mirrored side panels. If you screw the side panels together first (as indicated by the so-called "Instructions") & then attempt to insert the curved panels, the curved panels will not fit inside the slots where they need to go. You will then have to undo all the screws, insert the curved panels, and screw everything together again. I speak from experience here! Also, the various pieces are simply labeled with a letter (A, B, etc) and nothing indicates "this side up" or "this side down" which can lead to additional confusion and require multiple un-do and re-do attempts before you finally get the blasted thing put together. Oh, and don't bother calling Guidecraft Customer Service for assistance if the English language is your primary means of communication.
